INTELLIGENT QUESTIONS TO ASK IN AN INTERVIEW

POSTED ON
January 7, 2019

Many of us are so nervous for job interviews and making a good first impression that we forget that the interview is a two-way street. It is just as much of an interview for the company as it is for the potential employer. It is so important to find the right job for you and your work style in order for you to be happy and be your most successful self.

It’s a tough skill to learn how to eloquently ask the right questions to figure out the company and position. You want to get to know the company and its culture in an artful way. To be fair, you have a lot to learn about – the position, the company, the department, the team, and the culture. So how do you navigate asking questions about all of these areas?

Hopefully, your interview goes well and there’s a good back-and-forth discussion and a good amount of your questions will be answered. If you have a list of questions going in (which we recommend!) (also, don’t forget to print copies of your resume!) make sure you don’t ask them rapid fire – feel out the energy and vibe and natural flow of the conversation.

But we all know there will be the inevitable, “So, do you have any questions for us?” question – so use these resources to make sure you’ve covered all your bases.
