Building Connectivity Through Career Paths

National Retail Bank

The digital channels group at a national, retail bank was looking to highlight the exciting career opportunities that exist within the organization, and ensure development tools were more accessible to their geographically diverse team.

After conducting interviews with people managers to learn more, we developed a strategy for showcasing interesting – and sometimes winding – career paths: we designed a “Going Places” digital career database and profile series.

Setting the tone:

  • First, Brilliant Ink defined a consistent voice and tone that was authentic to the business unit and the bank’s overall tone.

Crafting & sharing the story:

  • By emphasizing different experiences at the company and displaying those stories on the team’s SharePoint page, leaders could feel a stronger sense of collaboration and connectivity among their people.

Working together:

  • We even sparked some competition among the team by having them race to finish their career path plans, strengthening the team ties as they worked towards a common goal.
