Serving Up Fresh, Relevant Content to Employees

Yahoo! was looking for additional content for its intranet, Backyard, which delivers daily company news and information to its 15,000 global employees.

First things first. We immersed ourselves:

  • We learned the company priorities, business strategy and internal communications goals so that we could aid in story development and create content published directly to Backyard

We got to work:  

  • We interviewed and coordinated with employees around the world, developing relevant and interesting content
  • We built a comprehensive strategy for ongoing editorial calendar ideas full of evergreen stories, featured content and helpful ideas for the global employee audience

We got results:  

  • We ended up serving as many as 30 stories per week on Backyard
  • We helped the intranet team shatter previous pageview and engagement records
