Woo-hoo! We’re 2!

First things first: I promise we won’t post celebratory birthday announcements every year until the end of time. But what can I say? It’s exciting that we’re entering our second year in business, even as we face a continuously sluggish economy.

The year has flown by, thanks to a whole host of exciting developments, so we thought it would be fun to share with you some of the team’s most memorable moments. Thanks to all of our clients, partners and friends for continuing to support us as we grow. Here’s to another successful year!

Ann: The highlight from the past year was definitely my trip to San Francisco at the end of May. Since I'm based in New York, it's always nice to have the opportunity to spend some quality time with the rest of the team out west. We had a productive planning meeting and a few delicious meals together, but the best part of the trip was attending 826 Valencia's annual fundraising luncheon.  As a corporate sponsor of this fantastic event, our team had the pleasure of attending a private reception with none other than James Franco. Of course we loved rubbing elbows with such a talented actor, but mostly, we all felt good about supporting such an outstanding organization.

Janice: Liz asked us to share our favorite highlights from the past year. Well, for me, the past year at Brilliant Ink has been the highlight. I joined the team a little over a year ago, and while I have to say that it was a little scary leaving the security of a corporate gig at a large company, jumping in with this fantastic little start up has been amazing. After more than a decade working in the communications field, I’ve found a job that gives me the opportunity to work with clients from different backgrounds and industries, specialize in an area I feel really passionate about, collaborate with colleagues who inspire and challenge me – and to learn something new pretty much every day. I’m so excited about what the future holds for us!

Alison: For me, the most memorable thing was the opportunity to talk to board members of a nonprofit client we worked with to develop their website and annual report. All of these people are completely dedicated to the cause of promoting health at a community level, and it was so inspiring to hear them talk with real passion about the organizations they fund.  It’s such a privilege to work with clients like that.

Liz: Having a successful second year in business is exciting in and of itself. We've established wonderful new client relationships and solidified partnerships with talented designers, branding experts and philanthropic groups. But the most exciting single moment must have been seeing our name on the door of our new office space for the first time. It reminded me of how far we’ve come in the past two years. I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
